I Am the Earthworm and the Glowworm
poetry
I am the universe, vast and wide,
The stars above and earth’s great tide.
I am the foam on waves that play,
The grains of sand where children stray.
I’m nebulae and galaxies bright,
The earthworm hiding from the light.
The glowworm shining in the dark,
A fleeting flame, a tiny spark.
I love myself, though I may stray,
In shameful acts or words I say.
Breathing clears the triggers, let them flow,
Releasing the thoughts that grip me so.
Like spirals fading in the air,
I free their weight; I have no care.
I take what’s mine, accept what’s not,
And find my place in all life’s plot.
For I am Whole, and I am free,
The endless All, eternity.
